Longhope Playgroup is a small, friendly OFSTED registered pre-school that caters for children from 2 years to pre-school age. The playgroup is based in Longhope in the Forest of Dean.
Our premises offer safe, warm and cheerful surroundings with stimulating resources to encourage your child to grow and develop the many skills required for a good foundation in life.
Our staff are highly professional, well qualified, enthusiastic and committed to providing excellent child care while following the EARLY YEARS FOUNDATION STAGE principles (The National Curriculum).
We have close links with local schools and introduce 'Rising 5' sessions in the last two terms prior to a child entering primary school to ensure a smooth transition.
On a daily basis, children are free to choose from a wide variety of activities and they have a designated refreshment time where they are provided with a range of healthy fruit & snacks. Parents then provide their child with a packed lunch
Outdoor play and activities are a normal part of the daily routine. The children have access to an enclosed outdoor play area, well equipped with ride on toys and outdoor adventure equipment. |
